Warje Urban Forestry
Pune is one of the fastest growing cities in India, soon to be a smart city. Initially, Pune city was famous for the green content. But, with the rapid growth and development the city is losing the city is tilting from green to grey. To fight and overcome this increased amount of pollution, TERRE has developed an Urban Forestry at Warje, which is one of the flagship projects of TERRE in the year 2015.
TERRE Olympiad 2017-2018
To achieve the sustainable livelihood one must get educated in proper manner. TERRE Policy Centre putting this as an objective has been conducting TERRE Olympiad at National Level. In the third consecutive year 2017-2018, TERRE introduced the exam in 3 more languages namely Urdu, Bengali and Gujarati. Like the previous years, the exam was categorized in two groups viz. Bud (5th to 9th std) and Flower (10th to 12th std). The competition was supported by TATA Motors and Bharat Petroleum.
Plantation project with Persistent Foundation
‘Urban Forestry’ is one of the flagship projects of TERRE Policy Centre. Developing barren lands into forests and improving the ecosystem from that area is the motive behind this Urban Forestry. TERRE Policy Centre initiated the Urban Forestry Project in the year 2015. At Warje area near Pune, TERRE have already developed such Forestry called ‘Smritivan’.

TERRE Policy Centre having an objective of sustainable livelihood has started with water shed development initiatives in rural region earlier in 2016. By following the same path, in February 2017 under the CSR initiative in association with Persistent Foundation has took up a project of constructing wells in rural parts of Mulshi Taluka, Pune.
