The May 2026 meeting of the Global Women Network for Nature (GWNN), an initiative of the TERRE Policy Centre, was successfully conducted through Zoom on 27 May 2026 with a strong focus on environmental awareness, sustainability, and community-driven action.
The session was guided by Dr. Vinita Apte, renowned environmentalist and Founder Director of TERRE Policy Centre, who continues to inspire women leaders to work collectively for ecological responsibility and sustainable development.
The meeting featured Roshani Adhikari Pathak as the Guest Speaker. She serves as the Regional Councillor of the International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN) Nepal. She delivered an inspiring presentation titled “A Story of Purpose: From Microphone to Mountain”, sharing her remarkable journey in journalism, environmental communication, and conservation advocacy.
Her thought-provoking session encouraged meaningful discussions among participants and highlighted the importance of individual initiatives, community participation, and collaborative efforts in building a sustainable future. The interactive Q&A session further enriched the event by allowing members to exchange ideas and perspectives on environmental challenges and solutions.
The event once again reaffirmed GWNN’s commitment to empowering individuals and communities through awareness, dialogue, and collective environmental action through its online platform.
