On 27th December 2024, TERRE Policy Centre successfully implemented the Afforestation and Honeybee Project in collaboration with esteemed partners, including TATA Autocomp Systems Ltd., TM Automotive Seating Systems Pvt. Ltd., and TACO AIR International Thermal Systems Pvt. Ltd. The event was attended by Mr. Sudipta Marjit (Group CHRO, TATA Autocomp systems), Dr. Vinita Apte (Founder & Director, TERRE Policy Centre) and Mr. Jaysing Darekar (Chairman of Elite School, Youth President NCP Khed Taluka). The event was also attended by the TACO staff and villagers. The local Grampanchayat Pait also supports this project.
This initiative marks a significant step towards promoting environmental sustainability and community development. The project aims to contribute to afforestation efforts, enhance biodiversity, and provide livelihood opportunities through honey bee farming.
